Framework

BAB — Before–After–Bridge

BAB is a three-part structure: show the reader's world Before (the problem state), paint the After (life once it's solved), then position your offer as the Bridge between the two. It's the shortest classic framework and leans entirely on contrast — the gap between Before and After is what does the persuading.

What each part of BAB does

B — Before
Describe where the reader is now, honestly and specifically. The frustration they'd nod along to.
You've restarted a training plan four times this year. Week two is where it always falls apart.
A — After
Paint the resolved state in concrete, believable terms. Not a fantasy — a realistic better.
Twelve weeks in, you're lifting three times a week without thinking about it. Stairs don't wind you. Your back stopped hurting somewhere around week five.
B — Bridge
Present the offer as the specific path from Before to After, and why this one works when the others didn't.
Baseline gives you one 35-minute session a day, auto-adjusted to what you lifted last time. No planning, no plateau, nothing to fall apart in week two.

When to use BAB

BAB works when the transformation is the product — fitness, finance, skills, coaching — and the After state is something the reader can picture wanting. It's weak for offers where the benefit is incremental or abstract: without a clear gap between Before and After, there's nothing for the framework to lean on.

BAB in action: Baseline, a 12-week strength program for people over 40

Headline (Before)

You know how to train. Staying consistent past week two is the actual problem.

Before

The plan's not the issue — you've had good plans. It's that life happens, you miss two sessions, the momentum's gone, and restarting feels worse than not having started. Four times this year.

After

Picture week twelve: three sessions a week that you don't negotiate with yourself about. You've added weight to every main lift. The nagging lower-back thing is gone. Getting off the floor is easy again.

Bridge

Baseline is one 35-minute session a day, six days of options so a missed day is never a missed week. Every session auto-loads from your last numbers, so there's no plan to maintain and no plateau to notice — it just keeps nudging the weight up.

Proof

“47, hadn't trained properly in a decade. Twelve weeks, back squatting bodyweight, and I haven't missed a Monday since.” — Dan K.

CTA

Start week one free. If you're not still going at week two, nothing lost.

The BAB template

Headline: [the Before state, as the reader would describe it]

Before: [where they are now — the specific frustration, not a vague one]

After: [the resolved state, concrete and realistic — what's different day to day]

Bridge: [your offer as the path across, and why it holds when past attempts didn't]

Proof: [one customer who made the same crossing]

CTA: [a low-stakes first step onto the bridge]

BAB FAQ

BAB or PAS — what's the difference?
PAS raises the stakes of the problem; BAB raises the appeal of the solution. PAS pushes from behind with cost; BAB pulls from ahead with a picture of the outcome. Use BAB when the After is genuinely exciting; use PAS when the pain is the stronger lever.
How specific should the After be?
Specific enough to picture, believable enough to trust. “Lifting three times a week without thinking about it” beats “transform your life.” If the After sounds like a fantasy, it kills credibility instead of building desire.
Is BAB too simple for a full sales page?
On its own, sometimes. It's often used as the skeleton, with Proof, objections, and offer detail layered into the Bridge section. The three-beat structure still runs underneath.
Can I use BAB for a subject line or ad?
Yes — it compresses well. “Restarted your training plan again? Here's one that survives week two.” is Before-and-Bridge in a sentence.

BAB is one of the structures ViberzBros drafts section by section from your offer — describe the transformation you deliver, and it writes the Before, After and Bridge copy against this exact shape.
